Sad to admit I’ve had Xtracycle envy for some time now. And I’ve written elsewhere that commuting considerable distances with a bag on your back isn’t good for your long-term health.
So, practising what I preach, and doing something constructive about sin of envy, we now have 2 Xtracycles in the family!
My partner and I have 3 part-time jobs between us, and living close to the MCG, the city of Melbourne, shops, parks, and Sunday markets, with 2 Xtracycles we can significantly reduce our use of fossil fuels.
And ‘The Blob’ – as son Max calls our newest 2-wheeled vehicular addition, is so comfortable to ride. With 2 kids on the back – 4 and a half year old Max on the stoker bars, and 2 year old Gracie in the Pea Pod, we have so much fun!
With Mum’s Xtracycle – ‘Bob’ – and ‘The Blob’, our family is going places!
